Fiba Commercial Properties, a leading investor in commercial real estate in Turkey, Europe, and the Far East, continues to distinguish itself with remarkable achievements. Notably, its İnegöl AVM and Downtown Bursa Life and Entertainment projects have made a significant impact, earning spots as finalists in the prestigious Global RLI Awards 2024—one of the highest honors in the retail and entertainment sector.

Since 1996, the MAPIC Awards reward excellence, innovation and creativity in the retail real estate industry, celebrating the industry’s most useful, sustainable and visionary projects. This year, the MAPIC Awards feature a number of new categories, reflecting MAPIC’s commitment to serve communities, businesses and the planet. The entry phase of the competition is open until July 22, 2024.

Kaufland operates more than 1,500 large supermarkets in eight European countries. Whether in Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Republic of Moldova or Germany – the stores have not only impressed customers, but also the real estate industry time and time again. At the 19th SEE Real Estate Awards in Bucharest, Kaufland was also recognized for its successful work and ongoing European expansion.

The jury of the Prime Property Prize competition selected projects with the greatest impact on the commercial property market last year. Promenada, the cutting-edge centre on the right bank of the Vistula River, is proud to be one of them. The mall, owned by G City Europe, took first place in the category of Investment of the Year: Commercial Space Market.

Despite all challenges, a lot is happening in the retail real estate industry and great projects are in the making. This is best illustrated by the entries for the MAPIC Awards 2022 category “Best performing Shopping Center”. They include assets such as shopping centers, outlets, and retail parks. They show innovation through new technologies, customer loyalty programs, retail mixes and architectural features which come together for the aim of increasing footfall, customer satisfaction, average spending and offering a unique experience in a new shopping destination. All these outstanding projects demonstrate the strength, innovation, and positivity of our industry.

As the results came in from 25 independent Solal judges across Europe, the person co-ordinating the results was Alan Thornton, CEO of AL Marketing in London and Head of the European Solal Marketing Awards team. He shares his view on the winning entries and considers what Rodovre Centrum, the winner of eight awards, does right when it comes to outstanding marketing effort.

For the fourth year in a row, Top Employers Institute has recognized Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) as a Top Employer in Germany. The independent institute’s award is based on a certification process that identifies companies worldwide which place their employees at the center of their corporate activities.
