Following a strategic repositioning by MEC and Nuveen Real Estate, Galerie Troisdorf is embracing a retail-driven future. With key tenants like C&A and Müller reaffirming their commitment and newcomers such as NEW YORKER and a modern fitness studio joining the lineup, the shopping center strengthens its role as a central retail hub in the Rhineland region.

SES Spar European Shopping Centres is expanding its footprint with the acquisition of ARKADIA retail park in Domžale near Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. The purchase agreement was signed on 11 June 2025 and is subject to approval by the competition authority. With 19 shops and strong anchor tenants, ARKADIA becomes SES’s sixth location in Slovenia, further reinforcing its international growth strategy. The seller is the Generali Adriatic Value Fund I, managed by Generali Investments Slovenia.

The challenges facing the retail real estate sector are more significant than ever. Future-oriented solutions for retail properties such as retail parks are urgently needed – this is precisely where the Retail PIN comes in. This newly founded think tank, an initiative of six leading companies in the retail real estate industry, pools strategic expertise and a shared vision: to actively and sustainably shape the future of retail locations.

Evolutionary development to secure the location: Dreieich Nordpark, located around ten kilometers south of Frankfurt am Main and a central supply location for the residents of Dreieich and the Offenbach district, has been extensively modernized – and a number of new tenants have also been added to the location’s offering.

Over the last few years, retail parks in Poland were mostly developed in smaller formats, around 5,000 s m, either adding to the existing retail landscape or introducing modern retail amenities to smaller towns as their first such facilities. Now, there’s a noticeable shift towards larger developments, with 32 bigger retail parks (GLA > 5,000 sq m.) either being built or expanded, including six that exceed 20,000 sq m.

The new properties are located in Zambrów and Krakow. The investment total amounts to 16.4 million euros and the retail properties cover effective floor area of about 11,000 sq m.
