KiK

After years of rapid growth, KiK is shifting gears. In an interview with dpa, CFO Christian Kümmel confirmed plans to close up to 300 stores across Europe — signalling a strategic reset as the retailer confronts the limits of its large-scale expansion.

KiK is set to close up to 400 of almost 2,400 locations in Germany, following reviews that mapped out the economically underperforming areas. However, existing markets abroad and domestically will continue receiving investments.
