The newest of the five Slovenian centers owned by developer and operator SES Spar European Shopping Centers received the “Global RLI Award” in the “International Shopping Center–New Build” category in London on 23 September 2021.

The supply of grocery stores at Iso Omena will continue to be strong in the coming years, as Kesko and HOK-Elanto have entered into long-term extension agreements with Iso Omena. Iso Omena’s comprehensive grocery offering was also reflected in last year’s result, as Iso Omena became the largest shopping centre in Espoo and the second largest in the whole country in terms of sales.

The opening of new stores across SES shopping centers has continued unabated: The Danish Bestseller Group is set to open a total of four new “Jack & Jones” (young men’s fashion & denim) and “Only” (young women’s fashion & denim) stores at the SES-managed Weberzeile Ried, MAX.Center Wels, and Gerngross Vienna shopping centers by fall.

The 25-million project “Linzerie” was recently opened in Linz’s city center after two years of reconstruction, commissioned by Sparkasse OÖ and in cooperation with Plötzl Plötzl Arch+Ing, Nopp Innenarchitektur GmbH, and the Berlin-based dan pearlman Group and their creative agency “spring”.

Kaari Shopping Center is, with its ~50,000 sqm, the sixth largest shopping center in Helsinki Metropolitan Area. With a combined area of ~5,000 sqm, the new tenants are retail company Tokmanni and JYSK as well as Gigantti (Elgiganten), the leading Nordic chain offering home electronics and appliances. The center also hosts Prisma Kaari, the largest hypermarket and grocery store in Finland, currently doing a concept renewal to further improve its offering and customer experience.
