Mitiska REIM acquires retail center in Beek (NL)

Mitiska REIM announced the acquisition of Makado Beek retail center from Syntrus Achmea, on behalf of the First Retail International 2 Fund (FRI 2) and in partnership with local co-investment partner and asset manager 3W Real Estate. It is one of the largest retail centers in the Netherlands, attracting over 3 million visitors per year.

Thomas Hinderling is the new Head of Center & Mixed-Use Site Management

Thomas Hinderling will become Wincasa’s new Head of Center & Mixed-Use Site Management (CMSM) as of May 1, 2022. He takes over the position from Felix Kubat, who is leaving the company at his own request. Philipp Arnold will succeed him as Head of Mixed-Use Site Management (MUSM) German-speaking Switzerland.

Redevelopment of Westland Shopping Center at the Finish Line

AG Real Estate is on the verge of completing the extensive renovation and extension works it started in 2019 in Westland Shopping Center in Anderlecht (Belgium). The program includes the arrival of a large department store and a number of new retailers, the expansion of the Food & Beverage offer, and the creation of a leisure center of over 4,000 sq m.

KGAL acquires Charles Square Center in Prague

KGAL has acquired the Charles Square Center in Prague with retail, office space, gastronomy, and healthcare for a pan-European special AIF. The downtown retail and office complex with a total of nearly 20,000 sq m of leasable space has a number of international tenants. The seller of the property was Commerz Real.

Citycon sells two non-core shopping centers in Norway for €145.4 million

Citycon has signed an agreement to sell two non-core shopping centers in Norway for approximately €145.4 million. According to the agreement, Citycon will divest Buskerud center to Aurora Eiendom AS and Magasinet center to Oslo Opportunity II AS and Vedal Investor AS. The transaction is estimated to close during Q1/2022.

New generation at Max.Center Wels and Mariandl Krems

As of March 1, SES is filling the center management of two shopping malls in Austria from its own ranks: Doris Panagl will take over the management of Max.Center Wels, Marie-Theres Skribanowitz will manage Mariandl in Krems. Long-time center manager Egbert Holz, who has been responsible for both centers since they opened, will retire in the spring after 23 years of service.

MVGM takes over center management of mixed-use asset Lili Wiesbaden

MVGM has been commissioned with the center management for Lili in Wiesbaden. The mixed-use object in the Hessian capital covers an area of around 37,000 sq m. The former Lilien-Carré has been named Lili since 2019 and owned by a fund sponsored by Orion Capital Managers since the end of 2014.

HIH Invest Acquires Warnow Park retail center in Rostock

HIH Invest Real Estate acquired Warnow Park in Rostock (Germany) on behalf of an individual mandate given by an institutional investor. The district center in the Lutten Klein district was sold by Highstreet VIII, a retail property fund managed by Corestate.

Sonae Sierra secures 30 tenants for their shopping centers in Germany

In total, Sonae Sierra signed 30 new leases in six locations: for Alexa in Berlin, Mercaden in Boblingen, Mercado, Quarrée Wandsbek, and Ottensen commercial building in Hamburg, and Munster Arkaden in Munster. In addition, more than 30 contract extensions and agreements for pop-up stores were achieved.

Ampega and Hahn Group acquire Krohnstieg Center in Hamburg

As strategic partner, the Hahn Group has accompanied the acquisition of the Krohnstieg Center by a special fund affiliated with Ampega Investment GmbH. The seller of the property is Hamburg-based HBB, with iMallinvest Europe GmbH acting as the transaction advisor.

Mitiska Reim transforms Dutch retail convenience center

Mitiska REIM announced the completion of transforming the Retail Centre De Lely, located in the Dutch city of Arnhem. Acquired in July 2018, a 30-month value-add programme has now been completed which has remodeled the look, layout, and tenant mix of the convenience center.
