With Top on STOP, single-storey STOP SHOP retail parks will be overbuilt to create low-price, resource-friendly housing and to create up to 12,000 new apartments over the medium-term.

The Board of Directors and the CEO of Citycon Oyj, F. Scott Ball, have agreed that Mr Ball will continue as the CEO of the company until 14.1.2025. Mr Ball´s appointment as the CEO commenced on 1 January 2019 and Ball’s current service contract was due as of 14 November 2021.

After receiving the building permit for STOP SHOP Zielona Góra, IMMOFINANZ, the owner of the STOP SHOP retail park brand, chose Mirbud as the general contractor for this project. The construction site was officially taken over by the contractor and construction works have started. The opening of the retail park with a total of 12 stores on nearly 6,700 sqm of space available for lease is planned for spring 2022.

The makeover of the Westland Shopping Centre on the west side of Brussels is picking up pace. Merkal Calzados lands at La Torre Outlet Zaragoza to enrich the offer of the centre, which already has other globally recognized shoe brands such as Adidas, Reebok, Puma, Rockport or Skechers. The Spanish firm comes to the outlet complex to surprise in its 500 square meter store and starts with an opening promotion of 20% discount for purchases over 40 euros.

The Allee-Center Remscheid will be extensively modernized and repositioned for the future, as the center operator ECE Marketplaces has now announced. For this purpose, the asset manager DWS intends to invest more than 25 million euros in the redesign and upgrading of the shopping center in the town center of Remscheid on behalf of one of its real estate funds over the next two years. Center operator ECE Marketplaces is responsible for the planning and implementation of the modernization.

The Outlet City in Metzingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg has added another attraction: the L’Osteria restaurant at the Enzian Höfe. In its role as the general contractor, umdasch The Store Makers led the project through the turbulent period of the pandemic, thereby allowing the restaurateurs to focus on their favorite task – providing hospitality.
