As of March 1, SES is filling the center management of two shopping malls in Austria from its own ranks: Doris Panagl will take over the management of Max.Center Wels, Marie-Theres Skribanowitz will manage Mariandl in Krems. Long-time center manager Egbert Holz, who has been responsible for both centers since they opened, will retire in the spring after 23 years of service.

In the Italian lagoon city, a stone’s throw from the Rialto Bridge and right on the Grand Canal, DFS – a pioneer in luxury travel retail (founded in Hong Kong in 1960) and now part of the LVMH Group – has set up shop. The curated selection of around 750 brands includes fashion, accessories, beauty, and jewelry, as well as food, wine, and gift items. Most of the products are made by local artists. The assortment of “La Corte al Fondaco”, a kind of high-end marketplace, changes regularly and is a great opportunity to pick up small gifts before leaving the building.

The Galimmo Real Estate Group announces the appointment of Eric Ravoire as Managing Director as of February 28, 2022. He will succeed Maël Aoustin who has decided to leave the Group to take up new professional challenges.

The company has refinanced part of its corporate debt, to the tune of around €50 million, through the issuance of bonds linked to its sustainability performance, namely greenhouse gas emissions and the recycling rates of Shopping Centers managed and owned by Sonae Sierra.

MVGM has been commissioned with the center management for Lili in Wiesbaden. The mixed-use object in the Hessian capital covers an area of around 37,000 sq m. The former Lilien-Carré has been named Lili since 2019 and owned by a fund sponsored by Orion Capital Managers since the end of 2014.

The grocery retailer Kaufland is represented not only in Germany, but also in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, and the Republic of Moldova.

HIH Invest Real Estate acquired Warnow Park in Rostock (Germany) on behalf of an individual mandate given by an institutional investor. The district center in the Lutten Klein district was sold by Highstreet VIII, a retail property fund managed by Corestate.

In total, Sonae Sierra signed 30 new leases in six locations: for Alexa in Berlin, Mercaden in Boblingen, Mercado, Quarrée Wandsbek, and Ottensen commercial building in Hamburg, and Munster Arkaden in Munster. In addition, more than 30 contract extensions and agreements for pop-up stores were achieved.
