GranRoma in Italy, StadtGalerie Velbert in Germany, Galeria Mlociny Poland, and Ada Mall in Serbia: Various retail properties across Europe opened within just a few days.

On May 22, 2019 Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) laid the foundation stone of the Westfield Hamburg, located in Überseequartier, one of the major mixed-use districts in Europe, and Hamburg’s largest development project.

Supernova, the Graz-based real estate investor, has taken over 10 shopping centers comprising more than 120,000 sq m of leasable area from Mercator in Slovenia. The 116.6-million-euro sales agreement was signed in October 2018; on February 13, 2019, ownership was transferred to Supernova. Managing Director Markus Pinggera intends to carry out refurbishment work on all centers.

Property developer GTC, and architects, Design International announced the opening of Ada Mall, the new shopping and leisure destination of Belgrade.

The new shopping gallery in Bremen replaces the former Stadler bicycle store, which moved out of the building of EDU Duckwitz Shopping Center in 2017.

The Broodzaak locations at the Amersfoort, Haarlem and Leiden train stations will be the first to be converted to the new brand at the end of May. In about one and a half years, all Broodzaak stores will have been replaced by TRECK. Alongside an expanded variety in the F&B assortment, guests of TRECK can continue on t heir journey faster thanks to the addition of self-scan checkouts. Current employees of Broodzaak will continue to work for the new brand, with intensive training during the transition.
