Madeleine brand rights acquired from fashion retailer Goldner

The Upper Franconian women’s fashion retailer GOLDNER is taking over the brand rights, the online store and the warehouse of the insolvent women’s fashion retailer MADELEINE.

The business operations of MADELEINE Mode GmbH, which was founded in 1973 in Fürth near to Nürnberg, had to be shut down in mid-December without an investor solution and discontinued on December 31, 2023. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price for the remaining assets.

Marcus Anton, CEO of the GOLDNER Fashion Group, commented on the conclusion of the negotiations: “The MADELEINE brand is a logical extension of our business in the area of high-quality women’s fashion and part of our strategic growth initiative. MADELEINE will be managed as an independent brand within our brand portfolio and will build on past successes with its unique aesthetics and style. It will benefit from the established infrastructure and operational services of the GOLDNER Fashion Group.”

With this acquisition, GOLDNER aims to further expand its position in the area of high-quality fashion. With “atelier GOLDNER”, the company is already successfully operating a segment for the Best Ager target group.

Marcus Anton adds: “MADELEINE is an attractive brand that stands for sophisticated, minimalist, stylish fashion. Our aim is to ensure the highest quality in both fashion and the shopping experience as quickly as possible and to inspire MADELEINE customers.”
