Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo Appoints Mikko Forsström as Chief Product Officer

Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo is setting an important strategic course for the further development of its department Product Offer while strengthening the operational leadership structure of the Group. Effective May 1, Mikko Forsström will assume the role of Chief Product Officer (CPO).

With Mikko Forsström, Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo gains an internationally seasoned retail executive with more than 20 years of experience in the food and mass market retail sector. He has held senior positions at leading international corporations, including Lidl and EMD AG, and most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

A people- and results-oriented leader, he brings together clear strategic thinking, strong operational execution and broad intercultural leadership experience. In his new role, he will oversee key development areas such as Category Development, further strengthening Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo’s offering for customers and their pets.

Kathrin Keunecke will permanently assume the position of Vice President Supply Chain Management in the department Operations after several months of serving as interim CPO. She will transfer to the department already in March, where she will take direct responsibility for implementing the strategically important Relex system as well as for further developing the supply chain processes.

To ensure a seamless transition and closely support the strategic development of the department Product Offer, Group CEO Matt Simister will assume interim leadership of the department.
