The PRCH Awards gala organised by the Polish Council of Shopping Centres took place on the 24th of November. The main objective of the competition is to promote the best business practices in the shopping center sector in Poland. The PRCH Retail Awards are considered to be the most prestigious one of them all. The submitted projects undergo a transparent multi-stage evaluation and verification process, which allows the independent jury to select the winners.
This year’s edition had a record number of entries, awarding golden statuettes in 10 different categories. Among the winners is Designer Outlet Warszawa, which in 2021 inaugurated its new extension with an additional 5,500 sq m and more than 25 new stores. A newly designed food court and further 500 parking spaces in a convenient, multi-storey car park with direct access to the shopping aisles completed the project. The awarding of the gold statuette in the category of Redevelopment / Expansion / Modernisation of a retail facility was to be decided, among other factors, by the size of the investment, the level of marketability, the final visual effect and the performance of the center after the expansion.
“The center extension allowed us to select tenants in a very unique way, introduce many desirable premium brands and ensure an even higher level of customer experience and satisfaction. Today, we are the largest premium fashion outlet center in Poland and the most attractive shopping destination in the region”, says Katarzyna Ciemińska, Center Manager at Designer Outlet Warszawa, managed by the Austrian operator ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.
With a gross lettable area of 23,000 sq m, Designer Outlet Warszawa is Poland’s flagship outlet destination and hosts more than 130 designer, fashion and lifestyle brands, with avariety of international premium names, like Armani, Boss, Lacoste, Marc O’Polo, MaxMara, Swarovski, Tous and many more, attracting 2.4 million visitors a year.
