Slovenia was chosen as the test market, and the first franchise store was opened in Ljubljana in October 2022. Following a successful test phase, further locations are now being planned in Germany and Switzerland. In Austria, the starup itself operates five locations, including at Gerngross in Vienna, Europark in Salzburg, Messepark in Dornbirn.
2000 products from the areas of fashion, household products, beauty or sports are currently available for purchase via B2B and B2C. Around 250 companies are currently cooperation partners of Damn Plastic.
Currently there is a sales growth of about 50% according to Neuhofer. External investors could be envisioned for further growth; the startup is currently self-financed.
