NEPI Rockcastle is investing around 300 million euros in a 55,000 sq m GLA mixed-use (retail, offices, hotel) extension of the Promenada Mall in Bucharest and refurbishment of the existing shopping center. This represents by far the largest retail development currently underway across all Central and Eastern European markets and is on schedule to be completed by the end of 2026/early-2027.

City Outlet Geislingen with over 40 home, fashion & lifestyle brands in 25 stores is being expanded to include four new stores. Construction work will begin in July 2024 and the opening is planned for late summer 2025.

Designer Outlet Algarve, the premium outlet village for the south of Portugal and Spain, kicks off construction for its center extension. By the summer of 2025, up to 25 new stores will open on an additional 4,000 sq m of gross lettable area, creating around 150 jobs.

Zara is relocating within the shopping and leisure destination and significantly expanding its presence: Through extensive construction measures, a flagship store with 6,000 sq m of rental area is being created on a central axis on the ground floor of Westfield Centro. The opening is planned for the first half of 2025. Until then, Zara will continue to operate its current store in the center. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) and Inditex are once again strengthening their strategic partnership in Germany with this new cooperation.

The important anchor tenant of the popular hybrid center at Cologne’s Neumarkt has extended its lease and is investing in a comprehensive modernisation and redesign of its sales premises. After the remodelling, the “Mayersche bookstore” will operate under the new Thalia brand name.
