MCARTHURGLEN PROMOTES Michael Natas to MANAGING DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

McArthurGlen Group announces the promotion of Michael Natas to Managing Director of Development.

In his new position, Natas will be responsible for leading the Development and Construction teams as they implement McArthurGlen’s asset development strategy across its portfolio of 25 designer outlets in Europe and Canada, and will report to the Group’s Co-CEO Joan Jove.

Natas will oversee an active development pipeline that is set to deliver nearly 50,000 additional sq m of GLA over the coming years. Significant expansion works are planned across the Group’s portfolio, including at its designer outlets near Vancouver, Birmingham and Málaga, as well as numerous refurbishment and enhancement projects.

Michael Natas began his career at McArthurGlen in 2005 as Development Manager, delivering increasingly large investment projects across Europe before eventually rising to Joint Managing Director for Development in 2017. During his career, the company has grown its retail space by more than double, from 300,000 sq m to 685,000 sq m.

Meanwhile, the Group’s Joint Managing Director for Development, Gary Bond, will transition into the role of Executive Development Advisor. In his new position, Bond will remain a key partner to the company, continuing to support development activities and strategy.

“We are very happy to see Mike assuming this wider role after 18 years at McArthurGlen”, comments Joan Jove, McArthurGlen´s Co-CEO. “His breadth of experience includes the realization of our newest center, Designer Outlet Paris-Giverny, the development of Designer Outlet Provence, as well as Designer Outlet Málaga, our first-ever project in Spain. We are confident that he is the right person to be leading our development team into its next chapter.”

He continued: “At the same time, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Gary Bond for his many years of trusted and valued direction. We are delighted he will continue to be a source of advice and practical knowledge in his new capacity as Executive Development Advisor.”

This announcement follows the highly successful opening of the Group’s new shopping destination, Designer Outlet Paris-Giverny, which opened in April 2023. Paris-Giverny is McArthurGlen’s fourth center in France, serving the fashionable catchment to the west of Paris as well as the millions of tourists who visit the French capital and the Normandy region each year.
