Gropius Passagen under New PR Leadership

Berlin’s largest shopping center adopts a new communications strategy.

Gropius Passagen, one of Germany’s largest and most prominent shopping centres, is entering a new phase of development. Following its strategic acquisition by Hayfin Capital Management LLP, supported by the renowned real estate investment manager Pradera in its role as asset manager, the centre’s communications activities are now also being repositioned for the future. With immediate effect, Frankfurt-based PR agency Savvy Communications by Miriam Kaiser has been appointed to handle all press and public relations activities for the Berlin retail destination.

“Gropius Passagen stands for a unique shopping experience at the heart of Berlin. With Savvy Communications and BWP, we have found experienced partners who share our vision and will support us in further strengthening our position as a leading shopping centre.”

says Christian Danne, Centre Manager of Gropius Passagen.

With approximately 95,000 sq m of retail space and more than 150 tenants, Gropius Passagen ranks among the capital’s leading shopping destinations. The centre offers an exceptionally broad retail mix across four levels, ranging from fashion and consumer electronics to sports, beauty and cosmetics.

A wide selection of food and beverage concepts, along with a modern multiplex cinema, further positions Gropius Passagen as a popular urban meeting place. Excellent infrastructure, including direct access to the U7 underground line and three car parks providing more than 2,000 parking spaces, ensures optimal accessibility.

BWP is responsible for the strategic direction and coordination of all marketing activities at the centre. Savvy Communications will oversee the operational implementation of PR and social media activities in Germany, including media relations, event PR and social media management, with the aim of further increasing the centre’s visibility.

“Gropius Passagen is a fascinating place in transition – vibrant, urban and diverse. We are very much looking forward to further anchoring the centre’s distinctive identity in public perception,”

adds Miriam Kaiser, Founder and Managing Director of Savvy Communications.
