Europe’s leading footwear retailer will take over around 550 square meters of ground-floor space, relocating from its previous high-street location in the pedestrian zone. The new store is scheduled to open in April 2026.
The move forms part of a broader space optimization strategy and places DEICHMANN in direct proximity to established fashion and lifestyle brands including TK Maxx, New Yorker, Jack & Jones, and Rituals—further strengthening the center’s retail mix.
“We’re looking forward to opening our new store, which marks an important step in our long-term location strategy,” says Alexander Sohns-Schmidt, Expansion Manager Southern Germany at DEICHMANN. “The constructive and partnership-driven lease negotiations with IPH provided a solid foundation for our presence at NOC.”

From the landlord’s perspective, the arrival of the market leader in footwear closes a gap in the center’s tenant mix.
“By bringing in DEICHMANN, NOC strengthens its positioning as one of the most relevant shopping destinations in the region,” says Marco Bachmann, Senior Leasing Manager at IPH. “The addition enhances the overall sector mix and increases the center’s appeal for both customers and retailers.”
Since opening in September 2019, the NOC Nordoberpfalz Center has established itself as the primary retail destination in the northern Upper Palatinate region. The inner-city scheme offers around 18,000 square meters of lettable space and is home to approximately 50 stores. Its central location in the heart of Weiden makes it a key meeting point for shoppers from the city and surrounding area.
In March 2025, IPH assumed responsibility for leasing, marketing, and property management of the center, further sharpening its strategic development and positioning in the regional retail market.
