The new location opened on 5 March 2026 at the Kronenberg Center Essen. The opening forms part of the retailer’s broader growth strategy in the European market and strengthens its brick-and-mortar presence in Germany.
According to the company, the Essen store also marks a milestone in its network development, as Woolworth continues to expand its discount retail concept and reach a growing customer base.
To celebrate the opening, the retailer announced promotional offers and special activities for visitors at the Kronenberg Center on the launch day.
