This achievement underscores the Store Makers’ dedication to social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices.
EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of corporate sustainability assessments, awarded the Silver Medal following a thorough review. For The Store Makers, this represents a welcome improvement following two consecutive Bronze awards. The company now ranks among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide.
Medals are awarded based on a company’s position in an international comparison, so it is not just the absolute score that counts. The assessment covers the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
The Store Makers are particularly pleased to have made further improvements in all four categories. This clearly demonstrates the company’s commitment to responsible corporate governance and sustainable practices throughout the entire value chain.
‘Receiving this award from EcoVadis confirms that our ongoing commitment to sustainability is paying off,’ explains Silvio W. Kirchmair, CEO of umdasch The Store Makers. ‘We are all the more delighted that, with the Silver Medal, we have visibly improved in an international comparison and established ourselves among the best companies.’
‘Through our ongoing commitment, we are emphasizing our dedication to adhering to internationally recognized standards and fulfilling our long-term responsibility towards society and the environment, regardless of the current level of public attention these issues attract,’ says SiIke Lederhaas, Head of Quality & Sustainability at umdasch The Store Makers.
