Søstrene Grene Opens First Styrian Location at ShoppingCity Seiersberg, Austria

Danish retail chain Søstrene Grene opened its first store in the Austrian state of Styria on March 13, 2026, taking up residence at ShoppingCity Seiersberg.

The new unit spans approximately 260 sq meter and introduces the brand’s internationally established “Retail for the Senses” store concept to the region, guiding shoppers along a curated in-store journey designed to engage all the senses through atmospheric staging and carefully arranged product worlds.

The assortment covers home accessories, small furniture pieces, arts and crafts supplies, toys, kitchen textiles and utensils, and stationery, all carried in the brand’s signature Scandinavian design aesthetic.

“We are very pleased that Søstrene Grene has opened its first store in Styria at ShoppingCity Seiersberg. The Scandinavian design concept is an excellent addition to our attractive tenant mix and offers our customers a distinctive shopping experience,” said Dr. Heidelinde Zinser, Center Manager at ShoppingCity Seiersberg.

The opening marks a further expansion of Søstrene Grene’s Austrian footprint. ShoppingCity Seiersberg, the largest shopping center in southern Austria, provides a fitting platform for the brand’s experiential retail format. The launch event on March 13 at 9:59 a.m. followed the brand’s characteristic style, complete with a red carpet, live classical music, and giveaways for early visitors.

“Our store is meant to offer a small break from the often hectic pace of everyday life and give our customers a shopping experience they will remember,” said Elisabeth Knapitsch, Austria Manager at Søstrene Grene.
