ShoppingCity Seiersberg Invests in the Future

TK Maxx expands, Thomas Sabo opens pop-up store, and service areas undergo extensive modernization.

Graz///Austria – ShoppingCity Seiersberg is sending a strong signal about its future direction. With the expansion of its TK Maxx store into what will become the retailer’s largest location in Austria, the opening of a Thomas Sabo pop-up store, and an investment program of roughly 1.8 million euros to modernize its service infrastructure, the largest shopping center in southern Austria is further cementing its position as a leading shopping and lifestyle destination.

International brands bet on Seiersberg

Two internationally successful retailers are investing in the location. TK Maxx is expanding its leased space to 3,800 square meters, and when it reopens in late October, the store will be the company’s largest in Austria. Visitors can look forward to an even broader mix of international brands, designer labels and regularly rotating assortments.

Thomas Sabo will also open a pop-up store on September 1, its only location in Styria, on the ground floor next to H&M. The internationally recognized jewelry and lifestyle brand is bringing its current collections to Seiersberg, another vote of confidence in the location.

These developments reflect a broader international trend, with retailers increasingly channeling investment into high-performing shopping destinations that combine strong foot traffic with a clear brand positioning.

A platform for the future of retail

ShoppingCity Seiersberg is increasingly positioning itself as a platform for innovative retail concepts and a launchpad for international brands looking to develop new store formats, enter the market or expand their presence in Austria.

“The investments from international brands show that ShoppingCity Seiersberg today is far more than a shopping center. We are a platform for the future of retail. International companies find the ideal conditions here to roll out flagship formats or establish themselves in Austria for the first time. Our customers are the ones who benefit most, as they can continually expect new brands and a shopping experience at the highest level,” says Anton Cech, Managing Director of ShoppingCity Seiersberg.

$1.9 million for greater comfort and a better visitor experience

It’s not just the brand lineup that’s growing. The shopping experience itself is being continuously developed. ShoppingCity Seiersberg is investing roughly 1.8 million euros in a comprehensive modernization of its service areas.

By the end of the year, all customer restrooms will be fully renovated to a modern quality standard. The upgrade goes beyond fixtures and finishes, nearly doubling restroom capacity to better accommodate high visitor volumes.

Starting in the fall, modern beauty stations and vanity areas will round out the service offering, giving visitors added comfort and making a day of shopping even more enjoyable.

Through these investments, ShoppingCity Seiersberg has a clear goal: to keep improving the visitor experience and turn a shopping trip into something well beyond the transactional.

A clear commitment to brick-and-mortar retail

The combination of international brands, innovative retail concepts and significant investment in infrastructure and service illustrates where ShoppingCity Seiersberg is headed: toward becoming one of Austria’s most modern shopping destinations.

For customers, that means more international brands, more inspiration, more comfort and a shopping experience that continues to evolve.
