The acquisition marks an important step forward for Kontoor as it expands its portfolio of iconic consumer brands, shared the company.
“The acquisition of Helly Hansen will increase our growth profile, drive greater category, channel and geographic diversification, and increase our penetration in the attractive outdoor and workwear markets,” said Scott Baxter, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Kontoor Brands.
Helly Hansen is expected to be immediately accretive to the company’s revenue, adjusted earnings per share and cash flow in fiscal 2025, consistent with the Company’s outlook provided on May 6, 2025.
The acquisition of Helly Hansen builds on Kontoor’s success and advances its strategic and financial growth agenda. Acquisition highlights include the acceleration of revenue, earnings growth and cash flow profile, and the increase in penetration in the large and growing outdoor and workwear categories globally. Furthermore, the acquisition is also expected to diversify Kontoor’s portfolio across channels, geographies, categories and consumers. In turn, Helly Hansen is expected to benefit from Kontoor’s scaled, multi-brand global operating platform.
Helly Hansen is a more synergistic fit as part of a global, brand operator ownership structure, shared Kontoor, as the outdoor brand can leverage Kontoor’s deep management expertise in outdoor and workwear categories globally through a strong cultural alignment and proven management team on the side of Helly Hansen with a long track record of success.
