MIPIM Appoints Nicolas Boffi as New Director

RX France has announced the appointment of Nicolas Boffi as the new Director of MIPIM, the global urban festival. An engineer and urban planner by background, Boffi has over 20 years of experience in real estate and urban development, working across project management, business development and public affairs.

Every March, MIPIM attracts over 20,000 delegates to Cannes, France, from over 90 countries comprising key decision-makers in the real estate, investment and political communities. MIPIM’s Asia Summit, which focuses on Asian real estate investment opportunities, takes place every December in Hong Kong.

Boffi joins MIPIM from Arcadis, where he led strategy for the Global Cities Program as Paris City Executive, working with the private sector and city leaders to deliver sustainable urban projects in Paris and other major global cities.

Boffi succeeds Nicolas Kozubek, who successfully steered MIPIM through a period of significant changes in the industry. Boffi’s appointment builds on this success and marks a new chapter for MIPIM, strengthening its role as the global meeting point where real estate, city and world leaders address geopolitical uncertainty, embrace technological change, and accelerate the shift toward sustainable urban development.

Filippo Rean, Managing Director at RX France, said: “Nicolas brings a strategic mindset shaped by two decades of sector expertise, including leading complex city projects at Arcadis. His experience in aligning public and private priorities will strengthen MIPIM’s position as the global forum where decision-makers address the structural challenges shaping our cities—sustainability, resilience, and economic competitiveness. This appointment reinforces our ambition to make MIPIM the place where ideas turn into action for the future of urban living.”

Nicolas Boffi, MIPIM Director, said: MIPIM’s influence is extraordinary. At a time of profound geopolitical and economic change, it remains the only place where the global real estate community can come together with world leaders to understand the future and seize new opportunities.”

“One of my key reasons for joining MIPIM is to strengthen dialogue between the public and private sectors. The next few years will continue to bring complex challenges — economic, political, fiscal — that demand collaboration and bold decision-making. MIPIM must be the place where these conversations happen, where strategies are shaped and where uncertainty is turned into opportunities for the future of our cities.”

Under Boffi’s leadership, MIPIM will introduce new content initiatives as it supports real estate’s transformation, from a stronger focus on AI disruption and to the road to net zero, to helping industry leaders turn technological change into strategic advantage. MIPIM remains the only place that brings global investors, developers, and policymakers together.

MIPIM returns to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes 9-13 March 2026.
