Marcus Wood Rejoining Cushman & Wakefield as Head of Retail Capital Markets

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Marcus Wood as Head of UK Retail Capital Markets.

Wood will rejoin Cushman & Wakefield as an International Partner later this year from JLL, where he spent four years as a Director leading the Out of Town Retail team and more recently in its Capital Markets Asset Repositioning team. Wood previously worked in Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail & Leisure team for 25 years, specialising in out-of-town retail, leisure and grocery.

He will lead the UK Retail Capital Markets team advising on transactional activity in the UK retail and leisure market. Wood will work closely with Cushman & Wakefield’s market leading Out of Town and Shopping Centre leasing team, as well as its cross-sector development team. His appointment also further strengthens Cushman & Wakefield’s expertise on the repurposing of retail assets and advice to investor clients on alternative uses to preserve or enhance value.

Dominic Bouvet, Head of UK Retail & Leisure, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We are thrilled our investor clients will be able to benefit from Marcus’s transactional and repurposing expertise and strategic thinking which will allow them to generate the best value from their retail assets. His insight and experience right across the retail sector, and in the highly liquid out-of-town market especially, is second to none.”

Jason Winfield, Head of UK & Ireland Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Marcus is unquestionably one of the most respected advisers among retail investors, having built strong relationships through his market-leading advice and the quality of support he provides to clients. His return to Cushman & Wakefield is great news for our clients and we look forward to welcoming him back.”
