HBB Takes Over Management for Two Deka Centers in Hamburg and Trier

Deka Immobilien has appointed HBB Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG to handle center management, including commercial and technical property management as well as leasing management, for two of its shopping centers: the Nedderfeld Center in Hamburg and the Alleen Center in Trier. The handover will take place on January 1, 2026.

With this mandate, HBB is expanding its successful collaboration with institutional investors and taking responsibility for two established retail locations of significant regional importance.

Nedderfeld Center Hamburg

Located in the Eppendorf district, right next to the well-known “Automeile” (car dealership mile), the Nedderfeld Center opened in 1989 and underwent a comprehensive revitalization in 2022. The retail park spans two buildings and offers around 18,000 m² of rental space with approximately 25 tenants.

Anchor tenants include MediaMarkt, Kaufland, and SPORTSclub Eppendorf. Other tenants such as Fressnapf, Easy Apotheke, Woolworth, Ernsting’s Family, and TEDi ensure a strong local supply function. Around 520 parking spaces are available for customers.

Alleen Center Trier

The Alleen Center Trier enjoys a prime location directly at the main train station and near Trier’s pedestrian zone. With roughly 23,000 m² of rental space and about 23 shops, it serves as a key retail destination for the region.

Major tenants such as Kaufland, Aldi, MediaMarkt, Rossmann, Takko, New Yorker, and Deichmann form the backbone of the center. The offering is complemented by various dining options, Fitness First, medical practices, a dance school, and additional office tenants. Approximately 860 parking spaces are available for visitors.

Development and Partnership

Through this cooperation, Deka and HBB aim to continuously optimize the tenant and sector mix of both centers and to sustainably strengthen their market positioning. Particular focus will be placed on enhancing customer appeal, reinforcing the centers’ local supply roles, and adapting to evolving retail and leisure needs.

André Stromeyer, Managing Director of HBB Centermanagement:

“We’re very pleased that we were able to convince Deka to entrust us, for the first time, with the management of two of their centers. Both locations have great potential, which we look forward to developing further together with Deka. We are very much looking forward to this partnership.”

Stefan Leyrer, Global Head of Asset Management Retail, Deka Immobilien:

“With HBB, we have gained an experienced partner for the management of our two centers. Together, we aim to further strengthen the attractiveness of these locations and ensure their continued successful development.”
