Gabriele Volz becomes CEO of Commerz Real

The Supervisory Board of Commerz Real has appointed Gabriele Volz as Chief Executive Officer of Commerz Real. She will take up the position on 1 January 2021.

The Supervisory Board of Commerz Real has appointed Gabriele Volz as Chief Executive Officer of Commerz Real. She will take up the position on 1 January 2021. Gabriele Volz is a highly respected expert in investment and asset management. Since 2009, Gabriele Volz has been Managing Director of Wealthcap, a subsidiary of UniCredit Bank AG. In this position, she was responsible for investment, asset and portfolio management, alongside sales, product management, marketing, research and human resources.

Following a degree in business administration, Gabrielle Volz started her professional career in 1994 at Bayerische Vereinsbank. In 2000, she moved to Bethmann Vermögensbetreuungs GmbH as Managing Director. Since 2001, she has held responsibility in a number of management positions at HypoVereinsbank, most recently as Member of the Management Board in the Wealth Management Division. Gabriele Volz is also a Member of the Management Board Germany of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. She is Deputy Chair of the Supervisory Board of CV Real Estate AG and Presidium Member of the ZIA German Property Federation (ZIA Zentraler Immobilienausschuss).

Gabrielle Volz is also a lecturer in real estate and portfolio management at Munich Technical University. In 2018, She earned the award of “Manager of the Year” at the German Real Estate Women Summit. “I’m looking forward to working together with Gabriele Volz. She has the ideal prerequisites for taking the transformation of Commerz Real forward successfully on our trajectory of becoming a sustainable digital asset manager,” commented Mandel.
