Brussels///Belgium – Foodmaker, the Belgian restaurant chain and producer of ultra-fresh meals, is taking another step in its European growth. Starting today, the brand’s healthy meals are available on the shelves of BILLA supermarkets in Austria, marking its entry into a fifth international market.
International Growth Ambitions
Alongside a strong presence in Belgium and Luxembourg through Delhaize, Foodmaker’s products are already carried by major retail chains in the Netherlands, France, and Germany. The addition of BILLA in Austria reinforces the brand’s growing international footprint.
“We are very proud of this milestone in our growth story,” says Lieven Vanlommel, CEO of Foodmaker. “Being active in five foreign markets proves that our vision of fresh, healthy, and accessible food resonates well beyond Belgium.”
Six Ultra-Fresh Dishes for the Austrian Market
For its Austrian launch, Foodmaker is introducing a selection of six cold and hot meals, responding to growing consumer demand for quick, quality food that does not compromise on health.
The brand draws a clear distinction from conventional supermarket ready meals. Unlike standard prepared foods with extended shelf lives, Foodmaker’s dishes are prepared fresh daily. The company manages its entire supply chain in-house, from its own organic fields and recipes to production at its central kitchen in Westerlo. This approach cuts out unnecessary intermediaries, limits waste, and ensures consistent quality through to the end consumer.
