Designer Outlets Wolfsburg: Seidensticker’s vending machine for masks

The Seidensticker Group uses its existing production capacities at its three production facilities in Vietnam and Indonesia, and switched parts of their manufacturing capacities to mask production right from the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis. From now on, there is a second option to buy Seidensticker’s oronasal masks:

On June 2, 2020 their vending machine for masks has been officially inaugurated as a new distribution channel at Designer Outlets Wolfsburg.

The vending machine provides exclusively white, three-layered premium masks in sizes S, M, and L. However, additional color options will be added from July onwards. They are washable with up to 60 degrees and therefore reusable. These masks are neither medical products nor personal protective equipment (PPE), which are manufactured and developed as respiratory protection against harmful substances.

However, oronasal mask provide a physical barrier and help to reduce the transmission of bigger droplets – e.g. when people cough and/or to avoid contact infections. Additionally, they keep their wearers from touching their faces. Social responsibility has been part of the company’s philosophy since its foundation in 1919.

“We all see high levels of solidarity, support, and courage right now. If we can contribute to the fight against the coronavirus, then we are certainly more than willing to do our part,” says Gerd Oliver Seidensticker, the Seidensticker Group’s Managing Partner.
