The new store shall connect the online and physical retail worlds by using interactive screens, with real-time posting via social media platforms. It will be spread across two floors and cover a total area of 702 sq m.
Scott Linard, Portfolio Director at M&G, said: “It is great news for Manchester Arndale that the Boohoo Group has chosen the center as its first location for a Debenhams.com beauty store in the UK and we welcome it to the city. It is also a great boost more generally for bricks and mortar retail and demonstrates that there will continue to be a balance between online and in-person shopping.”
Jeanette Whithear, Beauty & Homewear Director at Debenhams.com, added: “I’m excited to see the cross over from our digital and physical elements come to life within the space as well as our range of brands increase dramatically into 2022.”
Manchester Arndale shopping mall welcomes over 42 million visitors in an average year. It offers a line-up of more than 200 shops and restaurants including international, national, and local brands.
