Villingen-Schwenningen///Germany – Activ-Group has acquired City Rondell in Villingen-Schwenningen, marking the sale of the last remaining property from the Highstreet VIII fund. The seller was the fund’s insolvency administrator, who had appointed Hannover Leasing to handle investment and asset management. The shopping center sits on a plot of approximately 5,850 sqm and offers total leasable space of 10,500 sqm. Anchor tenants include Müller, McShape Fitness, Woolworth and Tedi. The property, located at Kronenstraße 21, was built in 1980 and modernized in 1995, 2005 and 2016. The center is currently 85 percent leased, with roughly half of that space occupied by grocery and convenience retailers. It also offers 410 parking spaces across three parking decks.
JLL advised the seller and brokered the transaction.
The insolvency administrator had appointed JLL in 2025 to market the retail properties after the fund’s property companies entered insolvency. Alongside City Rondell, the Highstreet VIII fund portfolio included Vechte Arkaden in Nordhorn, Stern Center in Sindelfingen and Shopping Plaza Garbsen.
