“Dreiländer Galerie” – New Retail Destination for Germany, France and Switzerland

Dreiländer Galerie known as Three Countries Mall, is a new shopping center being developed as a multi-national shopping destination in the German town of Weil am Rhein. The opening will be in autumn 2022.

The Dreiländergalerie Weil am Rhein will open doors in autumn 2022. The catchment area extends over three countries: From Freiburg im Breisgau (D) to Colmar and Mühlhausen (F) to Basel, Bern, Lucerne and Zurich (CH). The location is close to the regional S-Bahn station and tram stations.

There will be 25,000 sq m of space for retail and gastronomy, 75 rental units for fashion, lifestyle, everyday needs and an underground car park with 560 parking spaces. The most important anchor tenant in the fashion sector will be Peek & Cloppenburg. Other fashion tenants are Abercrombie & Fitch, Guess, Hollister, Hunkemöller, Kult, Levi’s, Only, Replay, Snipes, and Triumph. Examples for food anchors are Rewe, Lidl, Alnatura or Rossmann. In addition to an extensive food court, one of the highlights will be the Rooftop terrace on the 2nd floor, which should also become a location for events.

Chapman Taylor’s Düsseldorf studio is the designer of the new shopping facility. The facade will be a curtain-type, rear-ventilated metallic one designed to allow enough natural light into the building. “I am convinced that the Dreiländergalerie will become a great attraction in the region”, said Andreas Thielemeier, Center Manager of the Dreiländergalerie. “Especially the Swiss, who are used to a significantly higher price level, will benefit from the fact that they can shop in many international brand stores at low prices, while the shopping destination will also become a attractive community center for the locals.”
