KGAL extends and expands cooperation with MEC at eight German retail locations

MEC will continue to be responsible for the management of six retail locations in the KGAL Investment Management portfolio. In addition, the management of two further locations will be transferred to MEC. The two companies have now signed an agreement to continue and expand their existing partnership. With the management package transferred to MEC, the Düsseldorf-based retail real estate specialist operates over 130,000 sq m of lettable retail space for KGAL.

The eight retail properties are regionally established retail parks that are popular with consumers. They include Erding Park in Erding, Ziel in Hennigsdorf, Donaumeile in Donauwörth, Zentrum Schönweide in Berlin, Activ Carré in Brackenheim, Waibl in Waiblingen, the retail park in Roth and the SeeRhein Center in Konstanz. All locations have a mature tenant structure consisting of well-known retail companies. These include retailers such as Kaufland, Deichmann, dm and C&A.

“Team MEC is proud that we have once again been able to convince our long-standing client KGAL of the quality of our services as a specialist in the operation of retail properties. This success is thanks to our employees, who deliver top performance for retail real estate every day,” says Christian Schröder, COO of MEC, as he is looking forward to further cooperation in the long-standing business relationship.

“With MEC, we have decided to continue a cooperation based on trust and continuity. Thanks to its expertise and interdisciplinary services, the company is the right partner for us to further develop our investments in successful retail properties,” adds André Zücker, Managing Director of KGAL Investment Management.
