Zsar, the designer outlet village on the Russian border in Finland, announced the recruitment of Steven Cunningham as the new CEO.
Cunningham has a long history in the fashion business and outlet industry across Europe and the USA. The new CEO is excited about the potential of Zsar and is determined to build a leading designer outlet in northern Europe with a special focus on Russian customers shopping tax free. Zsar reached high week sales in late June, exceeding the Christmas and Easter sales by almost 50%. This trend is expected to be continued throughout the Finnish and Russian holiday season.
“Summer has started strong in Zsar – since midsummer night we’ve seen excellent growth in traffic coming to the Village and our sales have been exceeding our expectations. The majority of our guests have been from the South Finland area, but we are seeing a noticeable increase in Russian consumers. For weeks now our sales have been exceeding our expectations and we expect continued growth through the remainder of the summer and into early Autumn”, stated Cunningham.
The Village has recently opened three new stores; Björn Borg, Mövenpick Ice Cream and Olki Wine bar.
Celebrating the end of a successful year of Arts, Sloane Stanley has announced the latest street art installation just in time for Christmas. The festive scene is the seventh to appear on the King’s Road this year, and features a forest scene with skating rink alongside a warming winter hearth by artist Antonio Rodrigues Jnr.
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and the future operator Explorado Group will open the new EXPOHALLE on the promenade of Centro in Oberhausen in March 2020. The approx. 2,800 sq m hall will be a platform for various events, leisure and entertainment exhibitions.
