Volker Stinnes named new CEO of Land of Fashion

LAND OF FASHION is the umbrella brand of the Italian outlet villages, Franciacorta, Valdichiana, Puglia, Mantova and Palmanova.

Volker has extensive international experience in consumer goods, initially holding roles within Unilever and Sony, followed by the positions of CFO and then Global Sales Director for the Napapijri brand (VF Corporation). In his most recent position as Business Director for the Bicester Village Shopping Collection by Value Retail, he continued to strenghten his experience in building partnerships with premium and luxury fashion brands within the outlet sector.

Volker is committed to embracing the Land of Fashion’s philosophy and brand values by creating experiential shopping destinations, each tailored by geographic location for a unique customer experience. One example includes the opening of the Phase III extension at Franciacorta in 2018, creating a premium village-within-a-village combining high quality retail space with restaurants and experiential elements.

Land of Fashion is unique in Italy, being the first portfolio to cover an area of 150,000 sq.m across five different locations stretching from the north to the south of Italy. Welcoming over 17 million customers annually, each location has received significant investment and features outstanding and authentic village architecture and facilities.

Commenting on his new role Volker said: “I offer my skills and enthusiasm in bringing together premium and luxury brands in highly curated shopping destinations to ensure that the experience of outlet visitors goes well beyond shopping, to become a journey of discovery of authentic Italian style and Italy’s hidden gems. In the first weeks of 2020 we have already been able to make a significant step change in our guest experience. This is possible thanks to the active engagement of our owners, who have constantly shown their commitment to promoting these assets and supporting the continued development of our guest-centric strategy. Furthermore, Land of Fashion values long term brand relationships and we want to be known to be a consistently reliable and responsive partner to the brands we serve.”

Land of Fashion and its portfolio of assets is managed by MOMI (Multi Outlet Management Italy). MOMI is part of Amsterdam-based Multi Corporation, a leading pan-European integrated service platform for retail real estate assets with approximateley 100 properties under management.
