Update from the NCSC: This year’s “Annual Conference” will be transformed into a “Digital Nordic Think Tank”

This year’s “Annual Conference” will be transformed into a “Digital Nordic Think Tank” with focus on the retail landscape following the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Constant development is the new normal”, was the headline at the end of 2019 of Nordic Council of Shopping Centers’ (NCSC) member newsletter and that statement has probably never been more true.

Due to the circumstances, NCSC has adapted the activities and informs about the changes: This year’s “NCSC Annual Conference”will be transformed into a “Digital Nordic Think Tank”with focus on the retail landscape following the Covid-19 pandemic. The outbreak has already affected our lives in many different ways, but there will be a future after this. A new chapter. However, what will it look like and what will the conditions for physical retail and shopping centers be?

The NCSC has invited leading retailers and real estate owners from across the Nordics to share their views and experiences of business during and after the outbreak. There will be an international outlook from world renowned retail guru Doug Stephens and data science specialist Drew Smith. The “Digital Nordic Think Tank” will be available to watch on demand by June 2, 2020. Furthermore, there are arranged meetings and seminars online and first off is a Swedish “Digital Breakfast Seminar” on May 5, 2020.Unfortunately, the “NCSC Nordic Awards” will not be taking place this year- looking forward to celebrating the Nordic members in 2021.
