Trei Real Estate opens its 11th Vendo Park in Poland

Trei Real Estate GmbH (Trei), a developer with over 10 years’ experience on the Polish commercial real estate market, is rapidly developing a network of convenience retail parks. The company, part of the German Tengelmann Group, has now opened its 11th Polish retail park, operating under the Vendo Park brand, in Bytów. This is the developer’s first investment in the Pomerania region. The total cost of investment was approximately EUR 4 million.

Vendo Park, situated on Przemysłowa Street Bytów, marks Trei’s debut in Pomerania – a region located in Northern Poland. The construction works commenced on an 8,000 sq m plot in August of last year. The retail park offers 2,900 sq m of modern commercial space, which is now fully leased to popular brands such as Rossmann drugstore, Media Expert – a leader in the AGD and RTV industry, as well as shops offering clothing and footwear, textiles and household items: CCC, KiK and Pepco.

Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of Trei Real Estate, comments: “Vendo Park in Bytów is another success for Trei on the Polish market. We are increasingly signing lease contracts during the early stages of our projects’ construction. This was exactly the case with the Bytów project, where we had a complete list of tenants several months before the opening. The comfortable single-storey, retail parks that we develop encourage our partners – chain stores present in other Vendo Parks – to expand, as well as attracting new companies seeking another business location. This year we plan to expand our group of tenants with well-known fashion apparel brands which, until now, have usually selected downtown shopping malls. Furthermore, we plan to open five more Vendo Parks this year.”

There are over 100 parking spaces available at Vendo Park in Bytów. The retail park was built in close proximity to Lidl and Kaufland supermarkets, and perfectly complements the town’s existing commercial offering. Additionally, construction of the Bricomarché DIY store is also planned near our development.

Vendo Park in Bytów is the eleventh retail park in Trei’s Polish investment portfolio. The company intends to take on the long-term management of the retail park. By the end of this year, the developer plans to build five more Vendo Parks in Pułtusk, Ostrołęka, Łask, Jawor and Solec Kujawski.

Under the Vendo Park brand, Trei Real Estate plans, builds and manages commercial properties in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company owns 20 retail parks in Europe. The first Vendo Park in Poland opened in 2013 in Nysa. Today, Vendo Parks are located in Chełm, Milanówek, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Skierniewice, Łódź, Świdnica, Dąbrowa Górnicza and Chodzież. In addition to developing retail parks, Trei Real Estate Poland manages more than 100 commercial properties occupied by the Biedronka supermarket chain.
