TOCA Social launches its debut site at the O2

The O2 has announced the debut launch of TOCA Social, the world’s first entertainment and socialising venue with a football twist.

Kicking off the launch last week, TOCA Social officially opened its doors on Thursday 12 August, welcoming its first visitors to experience the brand new 30,000 sq ft venue.  With a variety of interactive football-based games on 17 interactive playing spaces, accompanied by a world-class food and drinks menu, TOCA Social is a vibrant destination bringing the physical and digital worlds together in a way never seen before. Featuring a trophy wall with an interactive leader board, three bars, and a Willy Wonka inspired dessert room coming soon, all inspired by Gensler design, TOCA Social at The O2 takes immersive experiences to a new level.

Guests are able to enjoy their own personal booth, with each booth providing space for up to 12 people to ‘play, dine and score’.  Guests also have the option of taking part in an array of football-based games enabled by innovative ball delivery and AI enhanced tracking technology. Founded by two-time U.S World Cup and former MLS and English Premier League Midfielder, Eddie Lewis, the concept is designed for all ages, abilities and football interests. At The O2, TOCA Social has created a space for everyone to enjoy, mixed with an American-inspired menu and unique cocktails.

Alex Harman, President of TOCA Social, added on the opening: “We are extremely excited for TOCA Social to be opening its first location in an iconic venue such as The O2. This space has provided us with everything we need to kickstart TOCA Social’s journey and enable us to welcome people of all ages to enjoy unique and immersive football games alongside world class food and drink.”

Alistair Wood, executive vice president of real estate and development at AEG Europe, said: “Welcoming TOCA Social for its debut location at The O2 really highlights the diverse and dynamic space that our Entertainment District has to offer new and upcoming brands. With TOCA Social’s impressive technology and stand-out menus, we are confident that this will be a highly popular day-and-night out destination, which further compliments The O2 and Icon Outlet’s offering. The brand’s opening marks a real turning point in the industry as a whole, especially now the UK is fully able to enjoy social experiences in person again.”

TOCA Social complements the day-out destination offering at The O2 for families, couples and friends. As well as Oxygen Freejumping trampoline park and Hollywood Bowl, this also includes London’s largest cinema with a 19 screen Cineworld multiplex and Up at The O2, the 90-minute roof walk, which is suitable for ages 8+ offers an exhilarating view from the top of The O2.
