Tap in to Elephant Park

The Tap In, a new independent craft beer bar, has officially launched within Elephant Park in south London – the £2.3bn regeneration project headed by Lendlease and Southwark Council.

Guy Thomas, Head of Retail at Lendlease, said: “The Tap In opening kick starts the rollout of our food and beverage offer in Sayer Street, and it is encouraging to see a brand come through Artworks Elephant to open their first permanent site.  Introducing The Tap In reflects our focus on home-grown brands and our community, and we are excited to be working with more local brands, as we keep up the momentum with the launch of Phase 2 of Elephant Park.”

Sebastian O’Driscoll, co-founder of The Tap In, commented: “Having had the opportunity to trial our new concept under Artworks Elephant, we feel confident in launching the first permanent location with Lendlease at Elephant Park. Lendlease identified our firm roots within the culture and identity of Elephant and Castle, and we’re both grateful and proud to be part of the project. We look forward to serving local residents and visitors our high-quality craft beers.”

This is the first permanent bricks and mortar venture for the brand, a concept delivered by the founders of Six Yard Box and Hop Art.
