The Danish lifestyle brand, Søstrene Grene, celebrated its first UK opening of the year in Angel Central, North London’s main retail and leisure destination.

Søstrene Grene has launched its new 5,588 sq ft store on the first floor of the centre, enhancing the destination’s lifestyle and gifting offer. Søstrene Grene is located on the first floor of the centre opposite Wagamama, sitting alongside a complementary mix of retailers and F&B operators, such as H&M, UNIQLO, Mango, and Oliver Bonas.

“Søstrene Grene is a vibrant addition to the centre, building on the strong momentum of the past year. Strategically located on the upper level, the store enhances the customer journey by encouraging dwell time and complementing our food and beverage offer to create a more engaging shopping and dining experience. Its arrival further strengthens the diversity of the scheme, giving customers a fresh reason to visit and spend time at Angel Central. We remain committed to delivering a well-rounded retail destination anchored by standout, must-visit brands, and Søstrene Grene is a strong reflection of this approach,” said Simon Prince, Senior Associate at CBRE Investment Management.

“We are delighted to be opening our first store in the United Kingdom in 2026 at Angel Central, marking an important step in Søstrene Grene’s continued growth across London. Islington is a vibrant, creative area with a strong sense of community, making it a natural fit for our brand. The new store has been designed to offer a calm and inspiring shopping experience, where customers can take their time exploring our collections and finding thoughtfully designed pieces for everyday living,” added Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene.

Angel Central closed out 2025 on a high, with total annual sales growing 21.0% year-on-year. The centre welcomed 9.5 million visitors throughout the year, supported by several openings, including Lovisa, Bababoom, and Therapie Clinic, which helped drive footfall and elevate the centre’s retail and F&B mix.
