Silesia Outlet joins the FACTORY brand

Silesia Outlet in Gliwice, Poland, is set to join the FACTORY brand, the leading platform of outlet centres in the Polish market, changing its name to FACTORY Gliwice.

Silesia Outlet was opened in March 2019 by NEINVER, a leading investor, developer and operator in the European outlet centre industry and the largest operator in Spain and Poland. In June 2019, the centre was acquired by the joint venture between NEINVER and Nuveen Real Estate. Silesia Outlet will officially change its name to FACTORY Gliwice on 3 April 2020.

“We are delighted that Silesia Outlet is becoming part of FACTORY. Consolidating its operations under one powerful brand specialised in operational management, leasing and marketing is an important piece of the development strategy of Silesia Outlet, Poland’s youngest outlet centre. Changing the centre’s name and visual identity to FACTORY’s popular red-and-white logo should raise its recognition among NEINVER’s business partners in Poland and Europe, as well as tenants and brand representatives, says Bożena Gierszewska – Mroziewicz, Country Head for NEINVER in Poland.

FACTORY Gliwice will operate as part of the FACTORY portfolio, which includes an outlet centre in Annopol and one in Ursus (Warsaw), as well as FACTORY Krakow and FACTORY Poznan. FACTORY is a highly recognised and award-winning brand in Poland. Its outlet centres are directly associated with a powerful offer of attractive brands at permanently reduced prices, and customers consider the outlets to be fashionable venues worth visiting on a regular basis.

The outlet centre, located in the city of Gliwice in the Silesia region, in southern Poland, features a large catchment area of over 6.5 million residents. It enjoys an excellent location next to the Auchan Gliwice Shopping Centre and the Leroy Merlin DIY store. It is also in the immediate vicinity of the A4 motorway, which connects Krakow, the Silesian Metropolitan Region and Wroclaw – the largest economic centres in the south.

Silesia Outlet, which has recently won “Project of The Year – Fashion Outlet Centre” in the EuropaPropertyCEE Retail Awards, features 12,000 m² GLA of retail space. It is home to over 60 shops representing well-known domestic and international brands such as Guess, Diverse, Pierre Cardin, Pepe Jeans, Only, Triumph, New Balance, Puma, Reebok, and Tefal Home & Cook. A second phase is planned to expand the offer to 20,000 m² of GLA and 120 shops.
