Second year running – MK Illumination Sweden is nominated for prestigious design award

Svenska Designpriset (the Swedish Design Prize) was established in 2005 and is one of Sweden’s most well-established and prestigious competitions for visual communication, design and identity. The purpose is to promote and develop Swedish design and communication.

Last year, MK Illumination Sweden was nominated for Westfield Mall of Scandinavia’s “Wow, Vinterlandskap”. This year’s nomination regards Malmö Unicorn, a piece designed for the city of Malmö’s co-hosting of Copenhagen 2021, which united WorldPride and Eurogames. On the city’s wishlist: Make the piece easy for people to interact with and become part of the piece and make it possible to move it to different locations.

The unicorn design symbolises that everyone is unique, and that everybody is included and loved. All according to Malmö’s core values.

To vote for the ”Malmö Unicorn”, and to see the many other nominations across the categories, visit: https://designpriset.se/rostning. Voting ends on September 19th.
