Retailers support retailers: kika/Leiner CEO and more than 400 employees support food retailers

It is an exceptional situation. Since March 16, all Austrian stores that do not sell essential goods remain closed for the time being.

It is a time of uncertainty for entrepreneurs but also for their staff.

“This is about solidarity–to our fellow men and women but also our domestic economy,” says kika/Leiner CEO Reinhold Gütebier. “This is why we at kika/Leiner decided to join the “Händler helfen Händler” (“Retailers Support Retailers”) campaign initiated by the Trade Association and the Ministry of Economics.”

From now on, CEO Reinhold Gütebier, 24 of his managers, and approximately 400 employees will pitch in and help out at food retailers. All employees decided voluntarily to support this initiative.

“I would like to thank Rainer Will, the director of the Trade Association, for his commitment–this is a time when we have to stick together to make it through,” says Gütebier in closing.
