Redevco: Existing and new tenants in Berlin, Münster and Rostock

Redevco is happy to report successful leasing in properties in Berlin, Münster and Rostock. Restaurant chain Vapiano remains a tenant of ALEA 101, the mixed-use property at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz, with offices, apartments, and retail units. A new 10-year lease was concluded for the existing area of around 1,100 m².

In August already, Drugstore chain dm has opened its doors in the Ludgeristraße in Münster. The property is shared with fashion brand C&A.

The areas of C&A and dm are internally connected so that customers can easily get from one store to another. The lease has a term of 13 years. Lastly, Redevco welcomes British sportswear company JD Sports in the Kröpeliner Straße 34/36 in Rostock. JD Sports is planned to open in December.

Czech Republic: Reopening of shopping centres

The great majority of shopping centres should reopen on Thursday 3 December. The footfall and revenue figures show that customers have not given up on visiting shopping centres in the long-term perspective or changed their shopping habits dramatically. Following the reopening after the first wave of the corona crisis, both performance indicators grew again, and revenue even exceeded last year’s figures in a year-on-year comparison. The impact on footfall and turnover was lower in the second wave, with footfall slightly growing in recent weeks. Considering that Christmas is coming, we can expect customers to return to shopping centres quickly as soon as they are allowed to, resulting in an exceptional increase in footfall and revenue.
