Over PLN 100,000 from Mohito to help hospitals in Kraków

Mohito – a brand belonging to LPP, a Polish clothing company – summarised the first stage of its charitable action of transferring 10% of the revenues from the Eco Aware collection to hospitals in Kraków.

Just three weeks after the announcement of the action, the company donated over PLN 100,000 to help medical facilities. The funds will be used to purchase equipment and protective measures necessary in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.

As part of the fight against the effects of the epidemic, LPP is gradually expanding the scope of assistance for those institutions and organisations in Poland that need this help the most. The activities carried out for many weeks now as part of the #LPPpomaga project have also been joined by individual brands which have been allocating part of the proceeds from the sale of their products to help medical facilities. In April, the decision to donate 10% of revenue from the Eco Aware collection was announced by Mohito, one of the five brands belonging to the Polish clothing company. After a month of selling products marked with the “green label”, the brand has already collected over PLN 100,000.

“We are glad that our decision to allocate a part of the revenue from Mohito’s Eco Aware collection has met with such a positive response from our clients. It is thanks to them that today we can already donate PLN 100,000 to hospitals in Kraków. Importantly, this success prompted us to start another action. We plan to increase the amount collected at the moment by the proceeds from the sale of a limited collection of T-shirts designed especially for the purpose of the action. Half of the revenue from their sale will be earmarked for our assistance activities and this way more medical institutions will be able to count on support in purchasing the necessary protective equipment. It is very important to us that in these difficult moments we can help those most in need from the company’s immediate environment“, comments Justyna Para, Head of Marketing, Mohito.

Thanks to Mohito’s charity action, a part of the funds from the sale has already gone to the Independent Public Health Care Institution – University Hospital in Kraków, where it was used to purchase an air decontamination system for the Infectious Diseases Ward. The Stefan Żeromski Specialist Hospital, the Independent Public Health Care Institution in Kraków, in turn, had the opportunity to purchase personal protective equipment, i.e. overalls and aprons as well as disinfectant and protective masks, including FFP3 and N95 masks, thanks to the amount donated.

The income from the sale of the limited collection of T-shirts “The future is bright” and “Keep going”, scheduled for the end of May, will be donated to further assist health care centres in Małopolska.

As part of the #LPPpomaga campaign, since the beginning of the epidemic in Poland, the company from Gdańsk has supported not only infectious and specialist hospitals. The assistance in the financial form, but above all in-kind one, in the form of masks and other protective equipment, is also provided to emergency medical services, social welfare homes, foundations, medical centres, specialist clinics or district health centres. The list of beneficiaries is constantly growing. Over a hundred people from various departments of LPP have been involved in the help actions within the framework of the #LPPpomaga since the start. The total amount of assistance provided by LPP for the purpose of fighting the pandemic has exceeded PLN 5 million.
