MEC offers corona rapid test centers for customers

The first test stations open at 22 MEC locations in twelve federal states, with more to follow. In addition to the luca app and hygiene measures, the greatest possible protection when shopping is possible.

To further contain the pandemic, the MEC is relying on large areas of corona tests in its shopping centers. The nationwide active Commercial Property Manager provides various areas for corona rapid test stations in its centers. Center visitors can now be tested at 22 locations (see below for locations). The number will continue to rise over the next few weeks.

“With this campaign we want to do our part to make shopping in Corona times as safe as possible for all customers,” explains MEC COO Christian Schröder. “By using the luca app as well as numerous hygiene and protective measures, we also ensure the greatest possible security in accordance with current scientific standards,” says Schröder.

All visitors to the test stations can be in a separate area – for example in test stations, in the center pharmacies or in the center parking lots – have trained medical or trained personnel tested for the virus. The results of the tests are available after 15 minutes. If the test is positive, the experts explain the next steps. Registration for testing is not required in many centers. It is usually sufficient to show your identity card.
