Press release
The fashion retailer Bershka reopened its doors at ALEXA at Alexanderplatz following extensive refurbishment works, now welcoming customers in a more inviting and spacious new setting. The store has nearly doubled its floor space and now offers even more on-trend fashion and accessories in the young fashion segment across approximately 1,069 square meters on two levels.

The redesigned space features a contemporary store layout and an expanded product range in the young fashion segment, with a stronger focus on accessories alongside apparel. According to the retailer, the new concept is intended to better reflect current trends and urban lifestyle influences.
“We are very pleased to celebrate the reopening of the Bershka store at ALEXA. The new store offers our customers an even wider fashion selection and inspiring shopping experiences,” says Oliver Hanna, Sonae Sierra Center Manager of ALEXA. “At the same time, with the complete refurbishment and the significantly expanded retail space, Bershka is sending a strong signal for brick-and-mortar retail. The modern and spacious store is a clear commitment to the attractive location at ALEXA.”
Bershka’s expansion further emphasizes ALEXA’s positioning as a fashion-led shopping destination in central Berlin. The brand, part of the Inditex Group, typically selects high-footfall urban locations and places emphasis on modern architecture and store environments designed to support longer dwell times.
The iconic retail destination is currently owned by Union Investment, with Sonae Sierra being responsible for ALEXA’s center management.
