Lidl enters Homepark Targówek in Warsaw

Pradera European Retail Parks, the owner of HOMEPARK retail parks, has signed a lease agreement with Lidl. The retailer’s 2,000 plus sq m store will be located in Homepark Targówek in Warsaw.

Lidl is one of the most recognized retailer brands in Poland. With its vast array of high-quality, low-priced and sustainable products, it has become one of the most popular and trusted food retailers. Lidl currently has more than 700 stores across Poland.

Lidl has leased 2,017 sq m in Homepark Targówek for its store, which will replace “Piotr i Paweł” supermarket. Design work is now underway.

Homepark Targówek is anchored by specialist and popular DIY and homeware brands. Thanks to its unique tenant-mix, the retail park also offers customers’ favourite fashion, electronics and sports stores, including TK Maxx, CCC, Smyk, Świat Dziecka, Pepco, Rossmann, EURO RTV AGD, and Maxi Zoo. The tenants of Homepark Targówek also include an Enel-Med clinic, fitness clubs and F&B operators.

“A well-stocked food store of a leading operator is pivotal to the concept of HOMEPARK, whose tenant-mix has been carefully developed to attract entire families looking for the best home and homeware products. Our idea has been to create a venue where customers can shop for essentials in well-known and best-loved shops while looking for homeware items. Lidl needs no introduction. We are delighted that they have joined our tenants. We hope that Lidl’s store in Homepark Targówek will become a shopping destination not only for the retail park’s customers but also for the residents of nearby housing estates,” says Agata Brzezińska, Head of CEE,Pradera.

During the negotiations with Lidl, the property fund Pradera European Retail Parks was represented by Cushman & Wakefield. “We are pleased that we have managed to acquire an anchor tenant who ideally ties in with the retail concept of the HOMEPARK chain. Homepark Targówek has attracted Lidl with its diverse tenant-mix meeting the complementary needs of entire families. The store of an established and well-known food brand in this retail complex will certainly have a positive effect on its daily footfall and will fill in the gap in its retail offer, for which there is so much demand,” comments Edyta Paszkowska, Associate, Retail Agency, Cushman & Wakefield Poland, who is responsible for the commercialisation of Homepark Targówek and negotiations with Lidl.

HOMEPARK retail parks are property-managed by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.
