GCSP and MEC host an online panel on retail parks in the cities of tomorrow

MEC recently published their 9th Retail Park Report “About Tomorrow–Retail Parks in the City of Tomorrow”. On this topic, an online event featuring a panel discussion with their co-responsible partners will take place on November 24, 10-11 am.

In MEC’s report, the key finding is: Sustainable and cross-asset-class strategies are needed to develop cities and rural areas for the future as urban neighborhoods and surrounding areas gain in importance.

After 10 years of great growth in stationary trade, a lot has changed and was accelerated through the pandemic: e-commerce, consumer behavior, demographics, digitalization, etc. Urban development, one-stop-shopping, and the 15-minute-city are trending. The following panel shares their insight on this evolution, moderated by Ingmar Behrens (Representative of the Board of Management of GCSP):

  • Thomas Beyerle (Managing Director at Catella Property) will give a keynote speech about the 15-minute-city
  • Christian Schröder (COO at MEC)
  • Jörg Krechky (Director/Head of Retail Investment Services Germany at Savills)
  • Marcus Mack (Head of Northern Europe, Retail at Nuveen)
  • Uwe Seidel (Managing Partner at Dr. Lademann & Partner)
  • Joaquin-Jimenez Zabala (Head of Sales & Strategy Retail Real Estate at WISAG)

November 24, 10-11 am / online
