DI Group managing the “Brandt Quartier” property in Hagen for Nuveen Real Estate

Commercial life begins anew at a tradition-steeped location: The former Brandt rusk bakery site is now the “Brandt Quartier”, the most modern retail park in the city of Hagen, which now will be operated by Deutsche Immobilien-Gruppe (the DI Group) for a fund run by Nuveen Real Estate.

Anchor tenants Rewe, Aldi, dm, clever fit and others will be serving customers on 9,124 sqm of retail and office space. The clever fit gym is housed in a historic building that has undergone careful restoration, located right next to the modern office building where the rusk-baker after which the park is named is moving in as primary tenant.[A2]  The Brandt Quartier will be convenient for shoppers to reach by car, for whom 300 parking spaces await.

Long-term leases have been signed with all tenants, and the retail park is almost fully occupied.

The adjoining and likewise newly built healthcare center with several doctors’ offices and a pharmacy (under different management) rounds out the now comprehensive local shopping and service offering available between the city centers of Hagen and Gevelsberg.

“It’s no accident that such a major international player would turn to us, with our many years of retail expertise. Our next property will be opening for operation in the coming week,” notes DI CEO Benedikt Jagdfeld with anticipation.

The client who hired the DI Group as property manager is Nuveen Real Estate, one of the world’s largest institutional investment managers, which has acquired the Brandt Quartier property in Hagen for its Core German Retail Platform.
