Peakside Capital, investor and developer of the Fashion Outlet Krakow, and KG Group S.A., developer of the Cracovia Outlet, agreed to only one new Fashion & Lifestyle Outlet for Krakow, the Cracovia Outlet, in a joint-venture.
“We sat down around the table and we all agreed, that there can be only one fashion & lifestyle outlet for Krakow and a decision for one location has to be made.”, said Stefan Aumann, Managing Director, Peakside Capital. “The Polish shopping and outlet centre is really competitive. Implication was, that we want to create one strong outlet destination for Krakow and bundle our know-how and experience in the market.”, said Krzysztof Gaczorek, Chairman of the Board of KG Group. The common decision was made for the Cracovia Outlet location.
The Cracovia Outlet will have approx. 20,000 sqm with 120 shops with focus on fashion, sports and designer brands. The outlet will be enriched with secondary retail and leisure offer on 60,000 sqm. There will be two Atut shopping parks, suitable for everyday shopping, with a diversified range of food, interior and entertainment, as well as one of the largest twostory furniture store in Krakow and one of the largest fitness clubs in Poland – My Fitness Place. Main asset of the Cracovia outlet is the accessibility to the city centre of Krakow, the proximity to the highway A4 and the perfect public transport connection. Construction will start soon and the opening is planned for Autumn 2021.
At the same time ROS Retail Outlet Shopping was appointed as management company. ROS Retail Outlet shopping is one of Europe’s leading operator of designer outlets and innovative outlet shopping concept. ROS manages successfully the Designer Outlet Warszawa, Gdansk and Sosnowiec since 2017. “We are really happy about the situation and concentrated competence of this joint-venture as well as the appointment as operator of the Cracovia Outlet”, said Thomas Reichenauer, Managing Director, ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.
