Construction of Galeria Chełm has started

The project will be covered with an overall budget of approximately EUR 30 million. and is scheduled for opening in the first quarter of 2020.

With the selection of a general contractor – KARMAR S.A. – we have started construction works of this first Retail project in our Polish portfolio. Through developing the Chełm shopping center we want to create a unique place that has never been available in the city before – meeting not only shopping needs, but also the lifestyle and entertainment expectations of customers,” explains Monika Woźniak-Zawioła, CEO of Equilis in Poland.

Recently selected general contractor – KARMAR S.A. – will construct a modern and multi-functional retail facility with a total GLA of 17.5 thousand sqm. The plot on which the new shopping center will be developed is located at the junction of Lubelska and Rejowiecka streets (Chełm beltway), in the spot constituting the main transportation hub of the city. The Galeria Chełm’s catchment area covers nearly 300,000 residents as well as the cross-border traffic with Ukraine and Belarus. Galeria Chełm will offer 55 commercial premises and over 550 parking spaces.

A year before the grand opening Galeria Chełm has already been almost entirely commercialized. Among the tenants that will open their stores in Galeria Chełm are already such known brands as Lidl, CCC, SMYK, Rossmann, RTV Euro AGD, Martes Sport, Reserved, Sinsay, House, Cropp, home&you, Pepco, Diverse, Swiss, Ziaja or Księgarnie Świat Książki as well as widely recognized dining and services brands.
